Food activist and author Dr. Raj Patel will give a free public lecture sponsored by the Detroit Food Policy Council on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Virgil Carr Cultural Arts Center, 311 E. Grand River, Detroit, MI 48226.  The topic of his lecture is "What Does Food Sovereignty Look Like?: Lessons From a Global Struggle"
